Clinical Question
In elective surgical patients with atrial fibrillation who are suspending
their normal warfarin peri-operatively, does no bridging anticoagulation
compared to bridging anticoagulation with dalteparin increase the incidence
of thromboembolism or reduce the incidence of major bleeding?
