2013 Cardiac Arrest
3 ICUs
258 patients
Vasopressin 20U/cycle, steroids (methylpred 40) & adrenaline during cardiac arrest (IHCA)
Clinical Question
In patients in cardiac arrest, does vasopressin + epinephrine during CPR
combined with steroid supplementation during and after CPR, improve
survival to discharge with a good neurological outcome, in comparison to
the use of epinephrine alone?
Critical Appraisal
Key findings
Improve ROSC, survival & neuro outcome. 55% in crit care area. 25% hypoT only.
